You Will be picked up from your Hotel in Cusco between 04:00 a.m. to 04:30 a.m. 
It´s a 3 Hrs drive in private transportation to Quesiuno located at 4,320 m.a.s.l. (start of the trek).

Breakfast will be provided once we arrive to Quesiuno. We start our hike from 4200 m.a.s.l. to 5100 m.a.s.l. to RAINBOW MOUNTAIN aka:(Cerro Colorado, Montaña de Colores or “Vinicunca”) lead by our expert guide. Here you will see the stunning colors that naturally formed by different minerals over ages under snow. Beautiful views of red, blue, green among other colors, as well as streams, herds of alpacas and llamas and the south side of Ausangate mountain range. We will hike through small traditional Andean villages to see the local people with their colorful dresses.

After a total hike of approximately 3 - 4 hours, we will reach the mirador spot for an impressive view of Rainbow Mountain, located at 5,100 m.a.s.l. . It will then be time to explore the area. You Will have time to rest and enjoy a packed lunch. You will have time to take pictures and soak in the environment. (We will spend approximately 30 - 45 minutes at the top of the mountain).

 

Then we Will start our return back hiking downhill the same way. The hike will take 3 hours. 

A private van will be waiting for us when we return to the parking lot. It is a 3 hour drive back to Cusco and you will be droped off at your Cusco hotel. The approximate arrival time is between 07:00 and 08:00 pm.
